Privacy, copyright & editorial policy

How we handle your information, our content and our editorial standards.

Privacy

Readers do not need an account to read the magazine, download issues or take a quiz. We do not use advertising trackers.

When you send a submission we keep your name and contact details only to discuss it with you. They are visible only to the editorial team, are never published, and are deleted 24 months after a decision unless you ask us to keep them.

Reading statistics are counted in aggregate. We do not store IP addresses with them. Login and form protection keep only a one-way, salted hash of an IP address for a short time.

Unless stated otherwise, articles and images are © Voice of Poverello or their named authors and photographers, and may not be republished without permission. You are welcome to share links and to print issues for personal or parish use.

Scripture quotations are short extracts used for study and reflection, with their references given. If you believe your work has been used without permission, please write to the corrections address and we will respond promptly.

Editorial policy

Every article passes editorial review. Articles that explain doctrine, quote Church authorities, describe miracles or give liturgical information are also reviewed by a priest. Approval applies to one specific version of the text; any later change is reviewed again before it is published.

Church news names its source and is labelled as original reporting, an attributed summary or commentary. We do not copy external news without permission, and we do not claim endorsement by the Holy See, any diocese or religious order.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we correct it openly. Published issues are never silently changed: a correction produces a new, approved version of the issue and the earlier version remains on record.

Use of AI tools

We may use software tools to suggest translations, summaries or corrections. Nothing produced by such tools is published without human editorial review, and no tool can approve theological content, create citations or publish an issue.
